Best PlaceJuice Reviews

My wife had been here the week before with a friend and was really impressed with the under 600 calorie pizza, so we gave it a go early Sunday evening before a festival event. It wasn't busy, but our abiding memory was the hour or so to wait to be served with anything to eat. The service was very friendly and apologetic, the food reasonable enough once it arrived but what on earth is going on in the kitchen? They kept the main door open too, so we were pretty cold by the end of the ordeal. Could they serve a desert quickly, we asked? We gave up and asked for the bill - which arrived on the table instantly. My wife was apologetic, my children irritated they missed out on a sweet and I was distinctly underwhelmed with it all.
Visited with newborn and 7 years old. We came during quiet lunch time but as we sat down the place suddenly became very busy. Personally we thought there was too many staff present therefore they looked a bit lost as the restaurant itself is quite small. We had to ask twice for small things but overall it was an ok experience. I am rating "very good" as our food was delicious. We've ordered pizza, salomon (my favourite) and kids pizza. We didn't leave disappointed.
I have given it 5 stars but it does depend on what you are looking for. Its a very friendly pub, proper pub. The landlord and landlady are usually on hand, by that i mean its not a different face behind the bar every time you go in but i wouldnt take children there and i dont believe they do much in the way of food.
Music too loud, mulledcwine lukewarm. A "drinkers" pub.
Well its not been in there before, pleasantly surprised clean plenty of room nice corner area were we all sat (5) so not to be interrupted while talking. Will be back. Kelly bar staff very nice & cheerful.
Good entertainment when we went and a good selection of larger..
Great little place to go for a drink. They show the rugby and the football last weekend. It's a small venue with only about 10 tables that can be used with Covid spacing but still a nice stop off on the way to or from Brighton
A lovely small pub. Clearly redecorated, the toilets desperately need refusbishment. The Moretti is nicely served, although, I am not overly impressed with the jukebox. While I dislike paying to listen to music in a pub listening to other peoples tunes of despair I dislike even more. Or the alternative is to listen to the total rubbish often stuffed into jukeboxes which nobody ever listens to, nor wants to listen to. Sort this aspect out, clean the toilets and I think this could be a 5 star gem of a pub.

Quick Facts About The Ferry Inn

The Ferry Inn has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. We will discuss them in detail below.
Starting with the strengths, one customer mentioned that the under 600 calorie pizza was impressive. This suggests that The Ferry Inn offers a menu item that caters to those who are conscious of their calorie intake. This can be a draw for individuals seeking healthier options.
Another positive aspect highlighted by a customer is the friendly and apologetic service. Despite the long wait for the food to be served, the staff remained polite and accommodating. Friendly service can greatly enhance the overall dining experience and leave customers with a positive impression of the establishment.
The quality of the food was also praised by a customer who described it as delicious. The menu offerings such as pizza and salmon were mentioned specifically, suggesting that the restaurant has a diverse selection of tasty dishes. This can be a significant strength as good food is often a key factor in attracting and retaining customers.
Additionally, the comment about the pub being a proper pub, with the same landlord and landlady usually at hand, indicates a sense of familiarity and continuity. This can create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for regulars and contribute to a sense of community within the establishment.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one customer expressed dissatisfaction with the wait time for their food. Waiting for an hour or more to be served can be frustrating and impact the overall dining experience. This issue may be attributed to a lack of efficiency or organization in the kitchen, which needs to be addressed to improve customer satisfaction.
Another weakness highlighted was the cold temperature due to the main door being kept open. This can make the dining experience uncomfortable and detract from the enjoyment of the meal. Ensuring that the temperature is regulated and customers are comfortable is essential for a pleasant experience.
A customer also mentioned that they didn't receive their dessert in a timely manner and ultimately gave up, asking for the bill instead. Slow service in terms of dessert can be disappointing for customers, particularly those who were looking forward to enjoying a sweet treat. Timely service is crucial in providing a positive dining experience.
Furthermore, one comment mentioned that the pub may not be suitable for children and doesn't offer much in terms of food. This can limit the potential customer base as families with children may be deterred from dining at The Ferry Inn. Expanding the menu to cater to a wider range of customers, including families, can help attract more business.
Other weaknesses mentioned included the loud music and lukewarm mulled wine. Excessive noise can disrupt conversations and make it difficult for customers to enjoy their time at the pub. Additionally, serving lukewarm drinks can be disappointing and suggests a lack of attention to detail in the service.
The cleanliness of the toilets was also criticized, with a customer suggesting that they need refurbishment. Clean facilities are essential in restaurants and pubs, as they reflect the overall hygiene standards of the establishment. Neglecting the cleanliness of the toilets can give a negative impression to customers.
Lastly, the comment about the jukebox not meeting expectations highlights a potential area for improvement. Providing an enjoyable and diverse selection of music can enhance the atmosphere of a pub. Addressing this aspect and ensuring that customers have a pleasant background music experience can contribute to an overall positive impression of The Ferry Inn.
In conclusion, The Ferry Inn has strengths in terms of its under 600 calorie pizza, friendly service, and delicious food. However, weaknesses include long wait times, cold temperature, lack of timely dessert service, limited appeal to families, loud music, lukewarm drinks, neglected toilets, and dissatisfaction with the jukebox. Addressing these weaknesses can significantly improve the overall dining experience and attract a wider range of customers to The Ferry Inn.
